We burned the brush pile, which generated a lot of interest from our horsey neighbours. Thus continuing the trend.

December 29th

Truffled grilled cheese

December 28th

The pompe à chaleur has been put in "emergency" mode and dispenses a minimum of heat. It's still cold out, but we decide to give it a go and are back at la Berge with the Bourgerys . There is an unplanned but very clear chocolate theme. Also, a horse theme.

December 27th

If we could not be at la Berge, at least we could be at Facebook and play music,  choose snacks and write on walls. Overall, Meredith is cool with it.

Oh no!

La pompe à chaleur est Kaputz!!! So we have no heat.

Plan was: Meredith and the kids for a few days, followed by Caroline, David and two-month old baby Andrew from San Francisco for a week.

New plan is the two of us in Paris.

I know, I know. It could be worse. But we were so looking forward to the visits. So completely bummed.

Should have picked the bar

Dinner was delicious, but Tom feels the more subtle taste of bar would have been even better with the artichokes. You live you learn.

FYI, I chose the daurade on the right. Tonight's dinner: Daurade with artichoke and pasta with onions. Yum.
