The long goodbye
Long, yes, but worth watching, if only for what's randomly happening in the background at 1:10

familiar sights, by guest blogger Lily Maxwell
Tom talks cheese at the Montargis marché.
Settling in with thieved slippers from Sarah's bin in the upstairs bedroom.
Return of the deviled quail eggs prepared by les doigts de fée (thanks for that, Colette!).
Could there ever be a more beautiful place to check your emails and drink Crystal Light in the morning??
Tom in his natural element, in shades of blue.
Lily in her natural element - with very economical truffled brie from the primeur, of all places!
Unintentional quiche crust art.
The only time we left the property - walks around the Loop with Baby Henry!
And finally, m-c and the machine:
Thanks for a wonderful visit!

"put an egg on it." by guest blogger Lily Maxwell.
Hey friends! Lily here. I was beyond lucky to recently have a wonderful visit to the Berge with m-c, Tom, Caroline, and Henry (and very briefly David).
For my first guest post I wanted to document a very important trend. Personally, I'm not a huge fan of leftovers (particularly when I'm cooking). But anyone who knows m-c is familiar with this concept of how to make leftovers better - just put an egg on it!

"Zucchini fritter with poached egg."
"Pan-fried polenta cake with pesto, sautéed mushrooms, and a poached egg." (this one was not under Tom's supervision)
"Trashed up mac and cheese with braised artichokes, papillon and you guessed it...a poached egg." (this concoction has also not been approved by Tom, though I bet he'd like it)
Thanks to Tom for the leftovers and m-c for the inspo!
